PROJECT FINANCE CONFERENCES
Project Finance Conferences. The Conferences will be given by jurists of international prestige in this matter. In the presentations and debates they will discuss in depth the legal questions relative to project finance , “syndicated loans”, and guarantees, with special emphasis on new forms of guarantee that will allow funding to be extended for business projects. The Conferences will take place in the Bar Association of Barcelona on the 4th and 10th of October 2006 at 5 pm and they have been organized by the Commercial law Section of the ICAB, whose Director is Dr. Rodolfo Fernandez, Partner of Miliners

CONFERENCES ON MORTGAGE REFORMS
The Commercial Law Department of the Iltre. Colegio de Abogados de Barcelona, presided by Rodolfo Fernández, together with the Property and Trade Registries, have organized a set of Conferences on Mortgage Reforms that the Spanish government is currently preparing. The conferences were held on 6th and 7th February at the Iltre. Colegio de Abogados de Barcelona, and the lectures were delivered by MILINERS’ partners Jordi Capellera and Rodolfo Fernández, among others, including speakers from outside of Catalunya. The conferences were attended by jurists and economists of utmost prestige, creating an ideal frame for the experts’ debate, in a moment in which such a debate could have echoes on the political sector in charge. The lectures emphasized on business matters, out of the conviction that mortgage guarantees, both for real estate and personal property, certainly affect individuals, but are a driving force on business development.
